Richard Nathan Stanley, Jr.

Stanley Funeral Home was founded by Richard Nathan Stanley, Jr. in 1969. Richard started his career at Adams Funeral Home located in Dublin, Georgia. Richard later worked in Wrightsville, Georgia, for Robert Bryan Funeral Home and T.V. Kent Funeral Home.  He dedicated much of his life to the funeral industry because he enjoyed helping others during their time of need. In 1969, Richard decided to purchase a historical home on South Marcus Street in Wrightsville, Georgia. He made renovations to give it a modern look. He then decided to name it Stanley Funeral Home.  Stanley Funeral Home has become a fixture and landmark in the Wrightsville Community.  Little did Richard know, when he decided to become a funeral home owner, he would not only have a son, but also a grandson to follow in his footsteps.  Today, Stanley Funeral Home has a Wrightsville Chapel and a Dublin Chapel with a human crematory as well as a pet crematory on site. This required us to change our name to Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory.  “Our Family Serving Your Family,” is a tradition that was established in 1969 and continues until this present day. Richard Nathan Stanley, Jr. passed away in February 1996.
